This workshop will be the basis for an expanded African American music experience called "One Nation Festival" on June 23, 2018. There will be a workshop at 1pm at the St. Louis Park Rec Center and a public concert at 6pm at the adjacent St. Louis Park ROC. (3700 Monterey Dr.) More information will come in early 2018!
JOIN US FOR ARTABILITY OPENING RECEPTION on October 26. This exhibition celebrates the creativity and contributions of people with mental illness and is presented by People Incorporated Mental Health Services. The public exhibition opening is on Thursday, October 26 from 5-8pm with TCCGC performing at 6pm. The show runs October 26-28 and is open to the public at the Great Hall, 80 E. 5th St., St. Paul.

These are non-ticketed events although free will donations are accepted. No reservations needed.

FAMILY CONCERT Wolfe Park Veterans’ Amphitheater (Excelsior & Grand, St. Louis Park) The Twin Cities Community Gospel Choir is pleased to kick off the Our Town Sings! Free Concert Series presented by the St. Louis Park Friends of the Arts. Join us for an inspiring evening of gospel music, presented free of charge, in a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere. The Choir will be joined by The Hurst Family, dancers and even a painter.
VOCAL WORKSHOP Valley Community Presbyterian Church (3100 Lilac Drive, Golden Valley) Gary Hines, perhaps best recognized as the Music Director and Producer of the award-winning Sounds of Blackness, will lead participants in honing their vocal skills while engaging them in an exploration of African American music and the rich heritage of gospel music. Everyone age 14 and older is welcome; no experience is necessary. You may pre-register for this workshop or register at the door; a $15 registration fee applies.
High Praise Ministries - The Destiny Center (1200 N. 7th St., Minneapolis) This is the first in a series of concerts at local urban churches. You do not need to purchase a ticket or make a reservation (free will donations are welcome). Everyone is welcome.
